PM’s Cabinet Warns against Falsified Royal Decrees

Phnom Penh: The Cabinet of the Prime Minister made an announcement to leaders of all ministries and institutions of the Royal Government, authorities at all levels, as well as the general public that someone forged royal decrees for their personal gain. The statement warned people against falling for such scams.

On September 15, the Cabinet of the Prime Minister said that a member of the public, Hok Bun Reth, had forged two royal decrees naming him a Deputy Prime Minister and the Deputy Director of the Department of Human Resources. The cabinet advised leaders and officials not to be fooled by corrupt actors who exploit forgeries for their personal gain and that they should contact the authorities on suspicion of such activities so that legal procedure can be followed.
